Quite a while back, I saw a tutorial for this, complete with the spells already laid out in 4X6" format and set up as a free printable. My thanks go out to Christie at
A Lemon Squeezy Home for not just taking the time to create this fun printable, but for also sharing it for free!
I picked up a small, plain photo album at a dollar store.
See, non-descript, unsuspecting.... Nobody would ever guess the treasure inside!
Then I printed out Christie's spellbook, cut the pages and slipped them in the album. Quick and easy! My fourteen year old (yes, you read that right...
fourteen year old) daughter thinks it is fantastic and has already requested that we make one for her Harry-Potter-loving-friend for her birthday (in five months!).
Inside we have a title page.
And the spells are laid out alphabetically.
We are already very familiar with nox...
Because it is on both girls' light switch plates!
Sorry, but I had to post the plates. I made them ages ago and I am still quite proud of them. :)
Now, if you have a Harry Potter fan in your life, pop over to A Lemon Squeezy Home using the link at the top. It goes directly to the Spell Book project!
Have fun!

Thanks! Which dollar store did you get the album from? Can't seem to find the one like yours.
ReplyDeleteI'm in Canada, and I found that album in a local Dollarama store. :)
DeleteThanks! I'll have to look around.
ReplyDeleteCool! I tried it out, was fun! :)
ReplyDeleteFantastic! Thank you for letting me know!
DeleteOh my goodness!!!!! I love Harry Potter so I'm going to try it out!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteLove these ideas!! Where did you get the Font for the spell book for, the Lightening style font?
ReplyDeleteThank you! I got the entire spell book from the site that I linked at the beginning of the post, but I can tell you that you can find the font using Google. It is called "Harry P", I don't know who created it, but I do know that it is a free one. I downloaded it and have used it many times!
DeleteI tried going to A Lemon Squeezy Home site for the spell book but it says that the Domain name has expired. Do you have any suggestions on how
ReplyDeleteI could get the spell book contents? I would love to make this spell book for my grandson's Harry Potter Party. Thank you!
Oh no! I'm sorry. I wish I had saved the file now! I just checked and I didn't though. Hopefully she will get it back and running soon.
DeleteOh, I hope you have notifications turned on, Lemon Squeezy Home is back so you can click the link and grab the printable! :)
DeleteYou are SO incredibly talented! I first saw your work on pinterest and I was just wondering if you have any of these monster book of monsters or remembrals for sale? If so, I am very, very interested!! (And even if not, I still just needed to tell you that these are absolutely incredible and you are very talented!)
ReplyDeleteWow! Thank you very much! What a nice thing to say!
DeleteI'm so excited to know my little crafts are floating around Pinterest. :)
Sorry, but I am not selling anything. I flew by the set of my pants with the book, and didn't even make one for myself. But the remembrall was super easy. I found wide red, sheer ribbon at a dollar store and stuffed some of that into a clear ball. Then I hot-glued (using a dual-temp glue gun on 'low') some gold ribbon around it. That is it! The most time consuming part was finding gold ribbon that I liked.
I'll give it a try! thanks! =)
DeleteI'd LOVE to see it!
DeleteOnce again can I get the book full of spells or did you make it for fun?
ReplyDeleteYou can easily make one yourself! Just go to the website A Lemon Squeezy Home that I have linked to at the beginning of this post. She did allllllll the work for us. She made it into a printable that we can all use. (I love the creativeness and generosity of people! Thank you, Christie, if you ever see this!) Just print it out and slip the pages into a small album.
